North West Boardriders Take Out nudie ABB Tasmania

COOLANGATTA/QLD (October 16th/ 2016): Sunshine, offshore wind and 2-3ft of swell greeted competitors in the nudie Australian Boardriders Battle Tasmanian State Round at North Goat Beach yesterday. The South Arm region delivered the goods for Park Beach, North East, South Arm and North West Boardriders Clubs after the event was postponed last weekend due to lack of swell. The four Boardriders Clubs locked horns and when the dust settled it was North West Boardriders claiming a narrow and hard fought victory over defending champions South Arm. The Milwaukee Heavy Duty Hack Award went to North East Boardriders bucket chucker Gerome Bramich, who takes home a nice tool kit for his powerful display of rail surfing. Surfing Australia Head Judge Glen Elliott said the result showed Tasmania’s Club culture was thriving. “It was great to see another club qualify for the national final and I think Tassie Boardriders Clubs will continue to grow and gain strength,” said Elliott.
